WHAT THE CLIOSOPHIC SOCIETY DOES

The Ravenscroft School Cliosophic Society is an honor society consisting of and led by Upper School students at Ravenscroft School, affiliated with the National History Club. The society is dedicated to the cultivation of memory, the promotion of the reading and writing of history, and recognition of excellence in the study of history and social studies. Emphasis is placed on not only student performance in social studies classes at Ravenscroft but also individual interest and independent scholarship. Accordingly, the goals of the Cliosophic Society are:

In order to be inducted into the Cliosophic Society, the student must:

Membership in this organization automatically entitles a student to membership in the National History Club honor society, and as a member, he or she will receive newsletters and updates on other honor clubs and student work across the nation.
