Databases

da·ta·base n. also data base
A collection of data arranged for easy and speedy retrieval. – The American Heritage Dictionary of the English Language, Fourth Edition

Ravenscroft databases provide indexes to a multitude of sources: full text journals, encyclopedia articles, images, primary sources, and multimedia resources. These online databases contain articles and resources which have been edited and reviewed for your use. You can find information for almost every topic, but it’s important to know which database to use. Although EBSCOhost is a good place to start, it might not provide exactly what you need. Read through the description of the databases to help you decide. If you need help choosing a database, contact a Ravenscroft librarian at library@ravenscroft.org.
